The last few years have seen a clear application development trend towards web applications, leading to countless innovations in the consumer market widely known as “web 2.0”. Examining the area of business applications reveals a similar shift in the technologies employed. Whereas several years ago client-server applications were considered the state of the art, web applications have now become the de facto standard.

As experts and consultants in the field of eSolutions, we also develop web-based applications for our customers, including web 2.0 applications, customer self-care systems, content management systems (CMS), document management systems (DMS), media asset management (MAM) systems, online shops, marketplaces (B2B, B2C) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

Our technological focus is on implementing eSolutions based on Java / Java EE (J2EE).

Depending on the individual requirements of each eSolution and our customers’ preferences, we can either develop completely new systems using a best-of-breed approach or leverage our [fleXive]™ product to provide state-of-the-art security and flexibility in a cost-effective manner.

[fleXive] is a Java EE open-source (LGPL 2.0) framework for the development of complex and evolving (web)applications. It speeds up development by eliminating many tedious and repetitive programming tasks and helping to keep your application(s) flexible, both during the development cycle and in production.

Based on the feedback we have received so far and having implemented numerous successful projects since the launch of [fleXive] in 2000 by UCS - unique computing solutions gmbh, we believe that [fleXive] is the ideal basis for Java-based eSolutions.

[fleXive] has been available as an open-source project since 2007.
